Ward visiting

May I suggest that open visiting never becomes the norm again in our hospitals except in certain circumstances. It neither benefits patients, staff or visitors, and certainly not great for infection control in busy wards. Hospitals should enable rest and recovery to those who are ill and ward rounds which should be confidential, not overhead by whoever may be sat there with loved ones. An onslaught of people roaming around hospitals all day, every day hopefully never happens again when wards finally open to visitors . Please keep this in mind when bringing our hospitals back to some normality.

It's important for patients health and to enable staff to continue do their jobs, as they strive to do their best for their patients.
