What is relatively "Close to Home"

The First Minister needs to provide better clarity in her advice. "Relatively close to home" can mean vastly different things to different people. It also encourages each individual to make a decision on what that means to them. Better to prescribe a permissible distance for clarity.

Why the contribution is important

CLARITY OF MESSAGE.

Agreed, we need this to be absolutely clear.

I agree. What is close to home.? How long is a walk ? Very unclear from the beginning of this virus outbreak.

Perhaps the idea of "close to home" is deliberately vague so that we can all be treated like adults and left to make our own judgement #Adult Conversation.

Given the reports of the numbers flouting the current lockdown restrictions, the Adult Conversation is clearly failing to reach all adults.

Depends on who the Adult is that is having this conversation, “Close to Home “ seems to allow cyclists go on 40 mile trips. Need a definite figure that would allow the Police to monitor effectively rather than everyone having different interpretations

I agree on the advice close to home but could we drive eg up to 2 miles to go on a woodland walk.. I know places I could go where there would be few people and it is safe woodland or flat walking. It would keep numbers of people out and about more spread out. And it would benefit those of us who enjoy hills and longer walks.
