Approachable Individual care in wards

It is important to get basic care right for all. With high standards of care, frontline staff in wards such as nurses and care assistants can be better in touch with the patients and support staff and are a fantastic vector between patients and consultants.

Good care is just the Matron and leadership, it’s about individual care given on the ward and needs a people based approach and clearly defined roles.

Why the contribution is important

Good care is a vital part of treatment, speeds recovery and is a basic right.
