Preservation of healthy Atlantic salmon

It is obvious beyond reason that control of seals are necessary.  Every species needs control and in the case of seals the only species able to keep control of their numbers is the human being.

Also the problems arising from some salmon farms has to be looked at soon .

Why the contribution is important

Because, looking at the River Dee and River Spey, for  example, the sight of a salmon jumping is now rare. Take a look at the Falls of Feugh, a major tourist attraction where one could almost guarantee seeing salmon ( depending on the river flow ) now a jumping fish is a rarity.

I think a majority of the interested parties involved in the destiny and preservation of salmonids agree we need to look at the effect of predators, ie saw bills, seals, lice densities, dolphins etc. The SG must lead by taking the genuine needs of our fish more seriously and act on the plain everyday problems that are within their control.
