Prior to any new housing development being approved - there should be a binding commitment by the developer to enable and provide for community services and amenities such as doctors rooms, community centres for young and old, sporting facilities ,crèches etc etc

In so doing a community spirit can be created

If we look at recent massive housing developments in Robroyston for example absolutely no allowance has been made for such amenities and services with the result there is greater use of vehicles transporting all residents to facilities in neighbouring areas. Hardly environmentally friendly !

Let’s move on from massive housing developments without amenities !
