Asymptomatic testing
The inquiry should look into a cost benefit analysis on asymptomatic testing.
As of 25th June, WHO no longer recommends asymptomatic testing "Widespread screening of asymptomatic individuals is not a currently recommended strategy due to the significant costs associated with it and the lack of data on its operational effectiveness. "

Why the contribution is important
The government has spent a huge amount of money testing healthy people, while there are millions of sick people waiting treatment on the NHS!
Aside from the huge cost involved, the evidence on asymptomatic transmission is pretty weak. Routinely testing healthy people to prove they are not infectious to others is also detrimental to people's mental health.
