Decision making

The role of FM, Scottish Government and the Scottish Parliament needs to be reviewed here. Special powers were granted, and extended to make decisions without the need for parliamentary review and debate. While I understand the urgency of the decision making, we need to ensure the appropriate use of the wider Parliament and indeed the Scottish Government in reviewing policy. It often felt like the FM was making the decisions without due debate or oversight.

Why the contribution is important

We need to learn from this and find a more inclusive way of fast decision making. I'm not talking about slowing decisions in lengthy reviews or committees, but wouldn't some form of party coalition on Covid have been a more equitable route to have taken?
