The funding of private care homes during the pandemic
Private care homes form the bulk of adult social care residential provision.
They are mostly funded through public monies although they do take private contributions from the public too.
Some are public companies sharing profits with shareholders. Some have offshore accounts.

Why the contribution is important
During the pandemic I think it would be important to understand how much of the funding of these companies was deployed for training and equipping staff as well as providing adequate staffing levels from their existing resources and whether some of the larger providers were still drawing a profit whilst accepting resources from government.
