The impact of V.I.T.T
The impact of V.I.T.T. (vaccine induced thrombocytopenia thrombosis) on those who were diagnosed and if the Scottish Government should have introduced a separate compensation scheme to the UK Government, a scheme based on diagnosis not long term disability.
Why the contribution is important
Those who suffered a V.I.T.T. may not necessarily have suffered long lasting disabilities but would have suffered severe short term physical and mental stress and trauma, with hospitalisations and continuing medical follow ups, most of those suffering would have previously fit and healthy with no underlying conditions. The Scottish Government should be providing them with some form of compensation for the trauma they have endured (through no fault of their own) whilst thinking they were 'doing their bit' to stop the spread and end the pandemic.
