get rid of the tax raising speed cameras and spped cops

ok stop hassering the motereists with mobile speed cameras and fixed cameras on big stretches of road , who approved the spped camars on the duel at the a9 , more detector vans , more speed cops , its a blood war and all your doing is annoying the hard working people of scotland , you should be pushing safer juctions and road ways , no im not anti police or speed , but it looks to joe blogs in the street that police scotland the councils and the snp have shares in busses as there tryng to get us of the road and onto them ,, the speed limits have not been reviewed in this country in 50 years , yet tyres road surfaces and car tech have jump well forward , you try and get a police man round to your house takes 2 to 3 weeks  , bugger creap 1 mph over the speed limit and your nailed to the wall its legalised robbery  , i will never support the police as long as this campain (A WAR TERM AS IT IS WAR) against the moterists of scotland continues

o and by the way some of the police men should have a little bit more respect for the people there attitude sucks

Why the contribution is important

cos i losed my lively hood driving as ther police are behind every bush with a camara raising money

Just about managed to decipher the rather odd contribution!
Speed cameras certainly contribute nothing to road safety - simply another means of screwing cash out of motorists. Drivers who are constantly looking at their speedos are not observing what lies ahead on the road.
On the other hand, traffic light enforcement cameras are a good idea - too many folk try to dash through well after the amber has turned to red. Unfortunately this still won't deal with all the arrogant cyclists who seem to think that the law does not apply to them.

Have to agree to disagree on this one. A national speed limit road through my town saw two fatal road accidents a few years apart. Local demand through the press and petitions saw the speed limit being reduced to 50mph. However, not many people were complying with it and now complain when a camera van calls by to enforce the new limit. Why demand action in the first place? Far too many people want action on things like this, but don't think it applies to them and dislike it even more when the law in enforced. Its like 20mph speed limits outside of schools, it only applies to passers by not to parents dropping off kids in the morning!
