GETTING THROUGH TO THE PEOPLE WHO THINK THIS DOESN'T AFFECT THEM

Hi everyone,
My post this morning isn't an idea as such .It is sad and happy reading others ideas to bring back some freedom and a bit of nornal to these awful times.
People talking about the social distancing, one way systems on trains, hand gels, shopping alone and face coverings etc to get us moving again.
The majority of us want to be safe and keep our families safe and keep a healthy NHS, but their are many who invade your space, your safety and your sanity. These ideas will only work if everyone does it, if everyone understands.
I come across people chatting in shopping aisles, people standing beside me in shopping aisles, a man actually coughed in my face, I haved heard people say they are not bothered , if they get it, they get it. I have a neighbour who still has people at her door, her kids throw things in my garden, and I wear gloves to throw them back.
I missed my sister's funeral due to this pandemic. The bulk of us are trying, albeit are exhausted. What about the clowns though? The thoughtless brainless idiots who stand beside you, walk in front of you, have people round, don't control their kids or laugh at you for trying to cover your face from them.
I think everyone of us has decent ideas to get things moving again but first and foremost the idiots have to be dealt with , the idiots who don't think rules apply to them and the idiots who spoil it continuously and endanger everyone else.

Why the contribution is important

Better measures to deal with the people who don't comply or else we won't get moving. Everyone should have worn masks from day one.

You are absolutely right! Sometimes I feel, the rule breakers are everywhere. What to do about them, I’m not sure. In supermarkets, less friendly but more strict staff is needed.

Totally agree. Not at all sure that the 'softly-softly' approach by the police is right. How about a 'rogues gallery' of CCTV clips every hour on TV?

Feel your pain. On the plus side if enough idiots get it this will bring herd immunity.

Stop worrying about other people. Focus on yourself. This mentality is part of the problem.

Hi Highlandlife, appreciate your comment. It is difficult to not worry when people stand right beside you and it's sad been laughed at if I ask someone to keep their distance. It was difficult not to worry when the man looked at me as he coughed in my face. And I'm sure the bulk of us know there would be no negative mentality if everyone simply done what was asked. Compliance shouldn't be difficult. I myself have posted this as I do not feel safe when I have to go out and buy essentials. I did not mean put a drain on any resources to get the idiots. The idiots know who they are. My point to them is simply don't put anyone else at risk because you do what you want anyway.
