Housemoves

Many people are currently inadequately homes to meet their needs. Local authorities/housing associations have quite rightly put a stop to viewings/repairs and moving under the current guidelines.

As somebody who is inadequately housed, I was matched with a property prior to lockdown and sadly have been unable to move.

I feel it makes sense to lift this restriction, providing repairs to vacant properties can be carried out with distancing measures in place. Many people are still moving into private let and open market properties during lockdown in a safe way.

This affects a relative few hundred people in each council area I imagine, but for those few hundred, things are starting to feel quite desperate.

As stated, for the people in this postiion, there isn't much light at the end of the tunnel. Living conditions, both in terms of safety, size, space and garden access are crucial to wellbeing.
