Penalised for being married to a key worker, having children etc

Relaxation of some of the current rules and/or additional guidance to create a fairer balance across all of society. For example creation of social “bubbles” or more than once a day exercise for certain groups.

Why the contribution is important

For example. The current rules would require a household comprising of a key worker, a non key worker and child(ren) to have the non key worker undertake childcare duties. This often has to be done on an unpaid leave basis as the furlough arrangements do not allow for a reduction in work hours or for close family/friends to provide childcare. Additionally there are often no hub childcare facilities available locally so this isn’t an option for many. Therefore it feels like families are being penalised for having a key worker in them during an already stressful time.

Or

Once a day exercise. If this needs to be done with another member of the household be it a child or adult who needs support the person providing the support misses out on being able to exercise in their own right as they are only allowed out once per day for exercise.

Surely you are penalised for not being a key worker, not being married to one? All families where there is a non key worker are having to do this...

Agree we need to be allowed out more for exercise.

Yes but hopefully within families without a key worker both can change their hours to accommodate childcare but as a key worker you don’t have this flexibility.
