Ensure companies involved in a Just Transition are Just themselves.
Transitioning will involve a large number of companies - both to supply materials and services.
As part of a just transition it would make sense to ensure that suppliers and contractors involved are green - in how the source materials, how they produce items and so on.
Similarly insuring that suppliers meet the real living wage and other social and societal obligations would make sense.
Prioritising local workforces over imported labour would keep money in the local economy and so forth.

Why the contribution is important
Projects are often influenced by cost as the sole motivator. Unfortunately this can mean companies with poor reputations end up winning contracts. Profits are drained into dividends and do not benefit local communities themselves.
Ensuring that other factors are taken account of in bids and the overall benefits these bring to a local economy should be considered.
Obviously there are issues surrounding bid processes being fair but including social terms into contracts is not unheard of.
